William Ernest Henley "Invictus" read by Zeno Poem Animation Heres a virtual movie of Zeno of Citium (334-262 BC) Zeno of Citium (The Stoic) was a Hellenistic philosopher from Citium, Cyprus reading one of my favourite poems "Invictus" by William Ernest Henley (August 23, 1849 -- July 11, 1903)who was an English poet, critic and editor. voiced by a female reader New York poetess Susan Katz whose voice has been processed through a sound manipulation software to make it sound male with I think and hope you may agree is an interesting and enjoyable result.This unforgetable poem is all about stoicism the author the Victorian publisher and poet and athiest W E Henley had lived through a life threatening bout of TB of the bone resulting in him losing one of his legs beneath the knee and had survived the experience by virtue of his sheer strength of will.
